About Viola, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The village of Viola, Illinois is a small community found in Mercer County. Situated at the intersection of U.S. Route 67 and Illinois Highway 17, Viola finds itself at the crossroads of the county with easy accessibility to population centers in the Quad Cities, Monmouth, Kewanee, and Galesburg. While only about 950 people currently reside here, residents believe that the good schools, affordable housing, numerous church offerings, and range of active businesses makes Viola a great place to live and raise a family.

There are several local businesses in Viola that support the community. The Dollar General, Casey’s General Store, and Morrison’s Market can take care of most of the population’s retail needs, and outdoor space is available at Miles Memorial Park. Luebbe’s Restaurant is found here, as is a branch of Farmers State Bank. Bigger stores like Wal-Mart and popular fast food restaurants like McDonalds are located just a few minutes away in nearby Aledo.

Just because Viola is found in the Midwest doesn’t mean that the area is immune to warm weather. In fact, summers here are muggy and hot, and average daily highs in July reach into the mid-80s. More residents are investing in long-term cooling solutions in order to stay safe throughout the season, and many are trading in their window units for a more reliable structure. A central air conditioner is spread throughout a space to cool multiple zones, ensuring that all residents are comfortable throughout the season.

Temperatures in Viola are mild during the spring and autumn seasons, and they book-end a cold winter. Average temperatures here are literally freezing in January, with daily highs only reaching about 31 degrees. Overnight conditions deteriorate into the teens or single digits, and about 30 inches of snow falls here each season. Local Viola HVAC technicians recommend that residents use the autumn months to service their systems to ensure they’ll function properly when needed.
