About Monmouth, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Monmouth, Illinois is a great place to live, work, and learn. Located in Warren County, approximately 9,500 people currently live within the “Maple City.” Monmouth was officially established in 1831, and several prominent Americans have called the city home, including Wyatt Earp, Civil War General Abner C. Harding, and Ronald Reagan. Today, Monmouth College is based here, and this private, liberal arts institution allows students to pursue degrees in a variety of disciplines.

While Monmouth is primarily a bedroom community, there are a few noteworthy things to do. Outdoor recreational opportunities include Monmouth Park, North Park, Garwood Park, and many others, and the Citizens Lake & Campground is a great place to spend a night under the stars. Monmouth hosts several great events throughout the year including the Prime Beef Festival, which features one of the largest parades the region.

Monmouth is found within a humid continental climate zone, and this leads to varied weather conditions that change with the seasons. The year begins with a cold winter, and snowfall is common. About 31 inches of snow fall each year, and freezing temperatures are an even greater concern. Average daily highs stay in the low-30s throughout January and February, and overnight thermostat readings often fall well below freezing. Without a gas or electric furnace at home, indoor conditions could quickly rival the dangers found outside.

Summer weather in Monmouth is completely different. The air is muggy, and thermostat readings are high. From June through late August, average daily highs reach into the 80s, and occasionally, thermostat readings will exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit. A central air conditioner at home will provide Monmouth residents with consistent cooling, and Energy Star systems can also lower monthly utility costs. Periodic maintenance from a Monmouth HVAC technician during the mild spring months will also ensure that these systems work at optimal efficiency before the hottest weather conditions begin.
